Amy
Scholten, MPH earned a Bachelor
of Science degree in food and
nutrition from Framingham State
College in Framingham, Massachusetts
in 1989 and a Master of Public Health
degree in health promotion and
education from the University
of South Carolina, Columbia in 1992.
Ms.
Scholten has worked as a nutrition educator
and weight loss consultant since 1987.
She began her career as a college student
with the University of Massachusetts Cooperative
Extension’s Expanded Food and Nutrition
Education Program (EFNEP). |
Since then, she has served as:

Partners), the South Carolina State
Employee Wellness Program
- Health
Educator for the South Carolina Department
of Health and Environmental Control in
Rock Hill, South Carolina, and for Susquehanna

Ms.
Scholten has authored numerous articles
and publications on nutrition and
health for hospital web sites and
community health education programs
throughout the United States. Currently,
she is a freelance writer, publisher
and public health researcher.
In
her spare time, Ms. Scholten enjoys
painting, writing poetry, playing
the guitar, and studying eastern philosophy.
Her active lifestyle includes hiking,
cross country skiing, mountain biking,
and in-line skating. She lives with
her husband Brian and Swedish Vallhund,
Nina. |
